3A: Rodney Vincent, Shallowater
The Mustangs knocked off state-ranked and previously unbeaten Bushland 21-20 to take command of the District 1-3A DI race.

2A: Wes Boatmun, Sunray
The Bobcats' offense showcased its firepower in a 59-41 victory over Panhandle in a 2A Division I Top 10 matchup.

1A: Jeremy Phillips, Zephyr

3A: Joaquin Escobar, Comanche
Comanche edged out Jim Ned 13-10 in a gritty, old-school defensive showdown, securing a crucial win in the race for the 3-3A Division I crown.

2A: Beau Riker, Ropes
The Eagles edged out Tahoka 35-34 in one of the state's most thrilling matchups, improving to 6-0 and matching the win total from 2023.

5A: Jason Todd, South Oak Cliff
With a 36-0 victory over Dallas Hillcrest, Todd secured his 100th win as a head coach, improving his overall record to 100-27.

4A: Bill Elliott, Celina
Celina has firmly established itself as a state title contender with a 6-0 start, boasting wins over Bellville, Waco La Vega, Gunter, Franklin, Frisco Panther Creek, and Aubrey.

3A: Brad Willard, Texarkana Liberty-Eylau
The Leopards defended their home turf with a 36-26 victory over No. 10 Tatum, surpassing last season's win total.

2A: Jonathan Murphy, Stratford
The Elks stepped up a level to take down a tough Childress squad 21-14, entering district play with a top-five overall ranking.

1A: Nathan Hayes, Benjamin
Benjamin delivered a strong reminder of their dominance with a 106-88 victory over Cherokee, proving they are still a legitimate state contender.

PVT: Doug Hix, Frisco Legacy Christian
Improved to 5-1 on the season with a 42-28 victory over Trinity Christian Addison, bringing Hix's record to 15-3 as head coach of the Eagles.

6A: Ricky Stade, San Antonio Taft
Down 27-7 in the second half, things looked bleak for Taft, but the Raiders pulled off an incredible second-half comeback to defeat San Antonio Stevens 28-27. 

5A: Brian Randle, Richmond Randle
The Lions are 5-0 for the first time in school history after securing a 30-10 win over Iowa Colony, which comes on the heels of a 45-7 win over Fort Bend Marshall.

4A: Alan Metzel, Gilmer
Gilmer punched up to defeat a previously undefeated Brenham squad 51-37. The defending 4A Division II state champs are riding high entering district play. 

3A: Craig Smith, Hitchcock
Smith's talented squad has been playing up a classification for four straight weeks and has come away with four consecutive wins, including this week's dominant 42-10 victory over Silsbee.

2A: Kyle Hardee, Centerville
Centerville battled back from a halftime deficit to pull off a 41-40 win in a thriller over a 3A Division II opponent Rogers.  

1A: Chris Gaspar, Follett
The Panthers secured a 70-50 win over Booker, who came into Friday night's tilt averaging 64 points per game. 

PVT: Tim Phillips, Austin Regents
Regents took the lead with a go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter and then rode a 21-point run, securing a 42-21 victory over Bullard Brook Hill.

6A: Lancaster, Leon Paul
The Tigers kicked off district play with a decisive 48-19 victory over Mesquite Horn, which could prove crucial in the competitive race for playoff spots in 11-6A.

5A: Brandon Schmidt, A&M Consolidated
The Tigers secured their first-ever victory over College Station in the heated cross-town rivalry, marking a milestone for Schmidt's program.

4A: Chris Lancaster, Robinson
The Rockets brought back a key group from last season's playoff squad, and that experience was integral in the 49-42 victory over No. 2 Glen Rose.

3A: Matt Schobel, Columbus
The Cardinals punched up and still put 60+ points on the scoreboard for the fourth consecutive time to start the 2024 season with a 62-35 win over Madisonville.

2A: Josh Ervin, Ganado
Stepped up a classification and dominated in a 42-6 win over Tidehaven. With title aspirations, Ganado aims to follow a similar path to AT&T Stadium that Tidehaven took last season.

1A: Josh Stanaland, Jayton
Showcased their offensive firepower with an 80-30 rout of 2A Division I No. 8 Knox City. The Jaybirds (4-0) average over 65 points per game.

PVT: Beck Brydon, Houston Second Baptist
The Eagles outlasted Houston St. John's 30-28 in this week's most entertaining private school matchup.

6A: Mike Rabe, Katy Jordan
It is already district play in 19-6A, and the Warriors picked up a key win over Katy Tompkins, avenging last year's 25-point loss.

5A: Melvin Robinson, Red Oak
Delivered a commanding performance by taking down a tough 6A opponent in Cedar Hill with a decisive 41-14 victory.

4A: Cliff Watkins, Glen Rose
Could this be the year for the Tigers? A 44-16 win over Brownwood shows that this year's team has the potential juice.

3A: Drew Johnston, Newton
It was only a matter of time before Newton got the train rolling, and a late touchdown secured a 32-30 win over Tatum in one of the week's wildest games.

2A: Brady Carney, Muenster
It was supposed to be the game of the week in 2A Division II, but Carney's squad showed complete dominance in a statement 56-21 win over Windthorst.

1A: Craig Steele, Borden County
Pulled off an 86-68 win over the defending 1A Division II state champs, snapping the Mustangs’ 30-game winning streak.

PVT: Donnie Yantis, Plano Prestonwood
Prestonwood bounced back from a tough loss to pull off an impressive 31-14 win over 5A Division II Bastrop.

6A: Ray Gates, North Crowley
With a 57-51 win, the Panthers defeated defending 6A Division II state champion DeSoto. In the past two seasons, Gates has claimed victories over DeSoto, Lancaster, Allen, Prosper and Euless Trinity.

5A: Dusty Ortiz, Carrollton Creekview
The Mustangs entered 2024 riding a 21-game losing streak, but Ortiz has led them to back-to-back wins to open the season.

4A: Steven Hohenberger, Paris
Pulled off a huge 7-0 win over heavily favored Texarkana Pleasant Grove in an old-school defensive battle that was decided by a 100-yard interception return.

3A: Raul Rivera, Progreso
The Red Ants snapped a 36-game losing streak with a 48-0 win over Riviera Kaufer. Premont is on deck.

2A: Shane Fletcher, Honey Grove
A 21-20 win over Marlin in a 2A classic cements the Warriors as a state title contender.

1A: David Biddler, Booker
Booker almost put 100 on the board in a 92-49 win over McLean. The Kiowas are averaging 75.5 points per game.

PVT: Nathan Larned, The Kinkaid School
The Falcons were able to win 33-15 over Austin Regents. A convincing win in one of the top private school clashes.

The Texans snapped a 26-game losing streak with a convincing 24-3 win over Irving Nimitz.

5A: Eric Mims, Amarillo Palo Duro
Led the Dons to their first win over the cross-town rival since 2013 and opened the season with a victory for the first time since 2021.

4A: Jason Bachman, Longview Pine Tree
Guided the Pirates to a 22-15 upset win over defending 4A Division II state champion Gilmer.

3A: Brad Dumont, Rice Consolidated
Stepped up a classification and made a statement with a 27-0 win over East Chambers.

2A: Fernando Rubalcava, La Pryor
The Bulldog's experience showed up in a big way with a 34-0 win over Bruni, who has made the playoffs 13 seasons in a row.

1A: Kevin Lloyd, Perrin-Whitt
The Pirates are using a stout defense to try and evolve. An opening night 46-0 win over Gold-Burg is the team's first defensive shutout since 2020.

PVT: Michael Bishop, Spring Legacy School of Sports Sciences
Rallied his team in the second half to pull off a surprising 37-36 road win over Hitchcock.
