Hutto ISD on Tuesday named North Crowley offensive coordinator Eli Reinhart as the next head football coach at Hutto High School, replacing Will Compton, who was promoted to Hutto ISD Athletic Director in mid-January.

Reinhart, the 2024 Dave Campbell's Texas Football Assistant Coach of the Year winner, has been the offensive coordinator at powerhouse North Crowley for the past three seasons. In those three seasons, the Panthers have averaged over fifty points per game, posted a combined record of 42-2, and won the Class 6A-Division I state title in 2024.

Coach Reinhart, a native of Montrose, Michigan, comes from a coaching family as his father, Dennis Reinhart, is a Michigan High School Hall of Famer. Eli began his coaching career as a student assistant coach in college under his father, Dennis; after graduating from Saginaw Valley State, Eli joined the staff at Ferris State University in 2018 as a receivers coach and recruiting coordinator.

In the spring of 2019, Reinhart moved over to his alma mater, Saginaw Valley State, where he spent one season as the offensive coordinator. After one season at Northwood University In Michigan, Reinhart moved to Texas for the 2021 season, where he joined the staff at Austin Anderson, where he served as the Trojans offensive coordinator.

"Eli very clearly has a plan. He is a highly motivated and hard-working individual that has competed at the highest levels, and that's something we aspire to achieve here at Hippo Nation," said Hutto ISD superintendent Jeni Neatherlin. "When you want to compete at a championship level, you hire someone that has competed and been successful at the highest levels. Coach Reinhart is community-driven, he has a great football background, he's young and hungry and we are excited to give him the opportunity to be a head coach. We are so excited for the 2025 season."
