Texas State is set to elevate Landon Keopple from Director of Recruiting and Assistant QB Coach to Offensive Coordinator, per a report from Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
After a standout playing career as a wide receiver at Tulsa (no crossover with Texas State head coach GJ Kinne), Keopple spent 11 years at Southern Arkansas and was the offensive coordinator from 2011-19. He coached the program's all-time leading passer, rusher and receiver, and mentored a quarterback to all-conference accolades in eight consecutive years.
Keopple and Kinne have coached at three different places together since. Keopple was the senior offensive analyst at Hawaii in 2020 while Kinne was the offensive coordinator, and kept the same position on Kinne's staff at UIW.
