Brock (8-0, 3-0) at Graham (7-1, 3-0)

It’s a top 5 matchup in 4A Division II in Young County, as second-ranked Brock visits fifth-ranked Graham with the 3-4A Division II crown on the line.

Brock has been dominant this year with an average margin of victory of nearly 38 points, including impressive non-district wins over Decatur and Aubrey.

Last week, the Eagles had no trouble with struggling Burkburnett in an easy 80-13 win. Everyone got involved, as starting QB Brody Woods threw for 109 yards and three touchdowns to go with 41 more yards and a fourth score on the ground, before sitting out the second half. RB Bryer McDonald ran for 127 yards and a touchdown, while Coty Farmer ran for 82 yards and two scores. Backup QB Truett Sanchez also passed for three touchdowns in relief of Woods, as six different Brock players caught touchdown passes.

Graham’s defense stepped up to the plate last week in a 37-0 shutout of Mineral Wells, as the Steers held MWHS to just 124 yards of total offense. Graham’s offense wasn’t firing on all cylinders but they did just enough as RB Rylan Monsey ran for 114 yards and three touchdowns. QB Ty Thompson threw for just 80 yards but did chip in 68 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Brock’s adjusted to 4A quite nicely and are among the favorites in Region I, but Graham’s been pointing toward this game as its statement game. Both teams have quality veteran signal-callers, but Graham’s experience across the board makes the difference in a big home win.
