Mineral Wells Eye-Catcher

2025 TE Preztynn Harrison (6'5, 220) - Mineral Wells: One of the state's most impressive physical specimens stuck out like a sore thumb in the Rams' 34-28 win over Quinlan Ford, hauling in a tone-setting reception early in the game before having to exit in the second quarter with an injury. The massive flex tight end is verbally committed to Texas Tech and will be an interesting pass-catching threat in Wreck 'Em's offensive scheme.  

Another Future Red Raider Shines

2025 QB Lloyd Jones III (6'3, 200) - Hitchcock: Another Texas Tech commit who stood out this weekend was Jones, accounting for all three touchdowns in Hitchcock's 21-14 win over Bellville. Jones displayed his versatility by delivering short, intermediate, and deep passing touchdowns. Texas A&M four-star WR commit Kelshaun Johnson flashed his elite top-end speed with a 65-yard catch-and-run touchdown off a hitch route.

Klein ISD's Freshman Sensation

2028 RB Micah Rhodes (5'11, 185) - Klein Oak: The early returns on Micah Rhodes are very positive, as the 2028 Klein Oak running back's three touchdowns helped the Panthers upset No. 19 Klein Cain on Thursday night. He's got a good switch between being patient for gaps to open up at the line of scrimmage and knowing when to accelerate and turn the corner on the outside. Good frame with room to grow into it, and an overall promising future for the freshman. Baylor, Houston, Boise State and Oklahoma have offered. - Tommy Yarrish

Big Man Touchdown Powers Rivalry Win

2025 OL Vakapuna Foketi (6'1, 285) - College Station A&M Consolidated: Foketi, a first-team all-district selection last season, remains one of the most underrated prospects in the state. On Friday night vs. College Station, Foketi broke through with the play of the season for the Tigers, a 73-yard fumble return for a touchdown after ripping the ball away from a Cougar running back. Foketi plays with an extremely high motor and has quickly become one of my favorite players in 5A. Foketi has an offer listed from Mary-Hardin Baylor. - Gavin Moritz

2026 QB Rees Wise (6'2, 215) - Austin Westlake: The junior gunslinger is already battle-tested after strong sophomore campaign, and his experience is starting to show on the field as he had the Chaps offense clicking on all cylinders in a 41-16 win over Cibolo Steele. Wise displayed impressive arm talent and efficiency within Westlake’s offense, making it clear why he's a top recruit. His growing offer list includes Houston, Nebraska, North Texas, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas Tech and UTEP.
