Brownsboro 2025 CB Micah Strickland has committed to TCU, choosing the Horned Frogs over offers from Texas Tech and Houston.

"They have a pretty solid program," Strickland said. "The DB coach (Carlton Buckels) has a good history of developing DBs. He sent a DB (Josh Newton) to the league last year, and they had Tre Hodges-Tomlinson this year."

During a recent official visit, Strickland had the opportunity to engage with the entire coaching staff in an intimate setting. He praised the impressive facilities and noted the promising developments within the program.

Strickland, who stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 175 pounds, is highly regarded for his physical attributes and skill set. He is ranked No. 70 in the 2025 DCTF Rising Hot 100 and is the No. 7 cornerback in Texas.

"I am good at man coverage," Strickland said. "I have really long arms, so I use that a lot in man. I am also solid in zone (coverage). I am very physical, good in my backpedal and make plays on the ball."

Strickland earned First-Team All-District honors in 2023.
