Texas high school football will feature three Texas high school quarterbacks this year.

Two of the past three Elite 11 MVPs have been from the Lone Star State in Denton Guyer's Jackson Arnold (Oklahoma) and Austin Westlake's Cade Klubnik (Clemson).

Will one of these gunslingers make it three out of four?

Keelon Russell, a 6-foot-3, 175-pounder from Duncanville, has verbally committed to Alabama and is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 DCTF Rising Hot 100. The four-star possesses substantial upside. His quick and smooth release enables him to maintain composure in the pocket, delivering accurate deep passes to a talented wide receiver corps.

Ty Hawkins, a 6-foot-0, 185-pounder from San Antonio Johnson has verbally committed to TCU and is the No. 2 QB in the Hot 100. The four-star is a dual-threat. He possesses a dangerous running ability and boasts a hot release and a precise deep ball, showing remarkable accuracy on downfield passes. He loves to press the action.

Kevin Sperry, a 6-foot-1, 200-pounder from Denton Guyer has verbally committed to Oklahoma. Sperry played his junior season at Oklahoma City Carl Albert, where he showcased his dual-threat capability and high efficiency as a passer (69% completion rate).
