Coppell 2025 QB Edward Griffin (6'2, 205) has committed to Baylor over Marshall, North Texas, UTEP and UTSA offers.

"It meant a lot," Griffin said in regards to his Baylor offer. "Coach Spav (Baylor Offensive Coordinator Jake Sapvital) trusting in me, believing in me. It was great to get to meet him, and I'm excited to see what the future holds."

Baylor was Griffin's lone P4-level offer at the time of his commitment, but that should not give Bears' fans pause because Texas Football views him as one of the state's Top 10 signal callers in the Class of 2025

Scouting Report: Griffin is battle-tested against a tough schedule and has the arm to make all of the throws. He is physically imposing and puts in the work to get better every day, which shows up on the field; every time we see him, he is more polished. While he is a pocket quarterback, Griffin's strength and athleticism allow him to evade pressure and extend plays. Fearless is a good descriptive word for his style of play.

As a junior, Griffin was selected as the unanimous 6-6A District MVP with 3,556 yards and 48 touchdowns to three interceptions. He also checks the multi-sport athlete box as an all-state lacrosse player.
