Port Neches-Groves 2025 OL Jackson Christian (6'5, 310) committed to Texas over offers from Texas A&M, Texas Tech and more.

"After a lot of thought, I am blessed to say I am officially committing to The University of Texas," Christian posted. "I want to thank all the coaches that recruited me throughout this process. Hook’em 'Horns."

Christian is rated as the No. 1 OG in the state, checking in at No. 31 in the 2025 DCTF Rising Hot 100.

Former PNG star Roschon Johnson played for the Longhorns before moving on to the NFL to play for the Chicago Bears. Jackson followed Johnson's career at UT, where he watched the team on a gameday visit that wowed him.

"I mean, that atmosphere at UT is pretty cool," Christian said. "There is a lot of energy. DKR is pretty cool, the stadium."

PNG won the 5A Division II state title in 2023 and returns a good amount of talent on next year's squad, where Christian will be a senior leader.

"I think we have something special going on at PNG," Christian said to DCTF's Carter Yates during a school visit last month. "You know, we’re just a little school in southeast Texas that won a state championship. If everybody buys in, I believe we can do it again, and I'm just very excited to see where we go this year.”
